UGUR BARUTCU FOUNDER OF TROFE HUNTING SAFARIS
The creation of Trofe Hunting Safaris in 2000 takes its roots in the early years of Ugur Barutcu. Ugur’s father was a wild boar hunter, which is extremely rare for a Turkish hunter and even more so in the 1970s. Ugur’s father worked for a cigarette factory as a tobacco buyer, he travelled all over Turkey to visit the plantations and then sometime hunted wild boar. Ugur Barutcu often accompanied his father to share these hunting moments with him. This is how Ugur discovered the best hunting spots. Ugur then developed contacts and friendships with many villagers, many of whom became correspondents over time, local hunting guides or full-time professional hunting guides for Trofe Hunting Safaris.

TROFE HUNTING SAFARIS THE LEADER OF WILD BOAR HUNTING IN TURKEY
With more than 20 years of experience and contacts throughout the territory, Trofe Hunting Safaris now organizes hunting trips for wild boar and especially for big and old keilers on 10 different hunting areas.
The hunting areas reserved for Trofe Hunting Safaris are located on the Black Sea, Central and Eastern Anatolia, the Taurus and the Mediterranean Sea.
These hunting areas’diverse biotopes make it possible to organize a wide variety of stays, from tracking in the snowy mountains in winter, to night stalking and driving which can take place in scrubland, large bush areas or in beautiful forests .
The 10 hunting areas total 1,000,000 ha and Trofe Hunting Safaris makes it a point of honor not to hunt the same territory more than twice in one season.
This organization leads Ugur and his guides to criss-cross Turkey from west to east and from north to south. Ugur spends only 2 months a year with his family. This is how Trofe Hunting Safaris has built its success, its reputation and obtained its 2 turkey records for wild boar trophies.
The first one in 2013, with a trophy of 34.4/32.7 cm obtained by a German hunter on a reserve near the Black Sea and the second one in 2016 with a trophy of 32.6/32.2 cm obtained by a Spanish hunter on a reserve near the Mediterranean Sea.

A PROFESSIONAL TEAM
The organization of Trofe Hunting Safaris is based on a team of 7 professional guides employed full time who find a relay on the field thanks to about 50 local guides. For the hunts Trofe Hunting Safaris uses wild boar kennel with more than 40 hunting dogs that Trofe Hunting Safaris manages all year round.
HIGH END EQUIPMENT
Trofe Hunting Safaris’ fleet of vehicles consists mainly of 4 x 4 Toyota HILUXs and Land Cruisers. The 4 x 4 vehicules that travel around Turkey all year round are renewed every 2 to 3 years. The distances between the different hunting areas of Trofe Hunting Safaris require a high degree of mobility.

Trofe Hunting Safaris is the largest hunting organizer in Turkey with 10 hunting grounds, totaling more than 1 million hectares of natural areas. Trofe Hunting Safaris’ hunting grounds are spread throughout Turkey and are often located close to National Nature Parks.
